Chico removed from disabled list: The Nationals removed SP Matt Chico from the 60-day DL on Wednesday and optioned him to Double-A. He had been on there since last July after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Fantasy Analysis

Chico started 31 games for the Nationals two seasons ago, going 7-9 with a 4.63 ERA, but lasted only 11 games in 2008 before being forced to the DL. Chico will work on his game in Double-A and might have an outside shot at returning to the Washington rotation in the second half. Continue to ignore him in all Fantasy formats for now, however.

Chico, in the midst of a comeback from Tommy John surgery, was reinstated from the disabled list Wednesday by the Washington Nationals and then optioned to Double-A Harrisburg. (Updated 07/08/2009)
