Braves announce 6 spring invites: The Braves announced the signing of six players Friday to minor-league contracts for the 2010 season. All six players received non-roster invitations to spring training. The list of includes left-handed pitcher Mariano Gomez, catchers Orlando Mercado and J.C. Boscan, infielder Joe Thurston and outfielders Brent Clevlen and Mitch Jones. They join right-handed pitcher Scott Proctor, who signed in November.
