| Arredondo earns first career save: Reds relief pitcher Jose Arredondo earned his first career save on Saturday in New York. Arredondo was called upon after closer Sean Marshall allowed two runs on four hits and only managed one out protecting a 6-3 lead in the ninth. Arredondo came on with the score 6-5 and didn't let the Yankees get any closer. Arredondo needed just seven pitches and his ERA is at 2.29 on the year. (Updated 05/19/2012) |

| Arredondo certainly looked good on Saturday and he has the stuff to be a closer in the future. That said, Marshall remains the closer for now. Arredondo is 3-1 on the year with a solid ERA and 24 strikeouts through 19 2/3 innings, however. He might be a reliever to watch. (Updated 05/19/2012). |
