Chris Iannetta going through season on roller coaster ride
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

Just call him Chris "Every Other Game" Iannetta.

Angels catcher Chris Iannetta has been experiencing an unusual trend since late April. He seems to get a hit only every game. Just once since April 23 and April 26 has he recorded a hit in successive games. Yet he has only once got hitless in back-to-back games.

The result of this strange trend has been decent productivity. Iannetta has used his patience and eye at the plate for 21 walks and a strong .370 on-base percentage.

Chris Iannetta ready for daily league action
by Al Melchior | Data Analyst

With a .225 batting average and a timeshare arrangement at catcher with Hank Conger, Chris Iannetta might not be the most obvious play for daily league owners. However, the Angels' backstop has a long history of hitting lefties much better than righties, as he sports a respectable .250/.366/..439 slash line over his career versus southpaws.

Iannetta is scheduled to face three lefties during the upcoming four-game series with the Rays. While you should probably sit him on Sunday against ace David Price, he should have productive starts on Thursday and Saturday, respectively, against Erik Bedard and Cesar Ramos.

Who are some other widely-available hitters who are useful in daily leagues against lefties? I spotlighted a few on our Fantasy Baseball Today blog. Even weekly league owners could have an occasional use for this handful of hitters.
