Stults off rehab, optioned to minors: The Los Angeles Dodgers removed Eric Stults (sprained left thumb) from the 15-day DL and optioned him back to the minor leagues Wednesday. To make room on the roster for Manny Ramirez (suspension), they sent third catcher A.J. Ellis to the minors. Also, they designated outfielder Mitch Jones for assignment. They have 10 days to trade, release or outright him to the minor leagues.
