Nomo says no mo' baseball: Japanese SP Hideo Nomo, who was the NL Rookie of the Year in 1995, reportedly announced his retirement from baseball Thursday. The 39-year-old Nomo, who pitched two no-hitters, announced his decision on his website, saying only: "Retiring. July 17, 2008. I announced my retirement from my playing career."
