| Rolen has gone back on the 15-day disabled list because of a problem with his left shoulder, which had surgery last year. (Updated 5/26/12) STATS LLC Advice The 37-year-old infielder has struggled at the plate, batting only .174 with two homers and 11 RBIs. He was examined by a doctor Saturday and went on the DL with a strained shoulder, which has been a chronic problem. He played in only 65 games last season because of the shoulder, having surgery Aug. 3. Rolen is in the final year of his contract and has acknowledged he's unsure if it will be his last in baseball. |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Rolen has dealt with shoulder issues in the past and it has effected his production immensely over the last two seasons. He is batting just .224 with a .372 slugging percentage since the start of the 2011 campaign, including posting a .174 average before landing on the shelf this season. There is still no timetable for when the 37-year-old will return but owners in deeper NL-only formats should be the only ones stashing Rolen away at this point. (Updated 05/21/2012). |
