Texas' Wilkerson leaves game with right hamstring injury

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) -Texas Rangers outfielder Brad Wilkerson left Tuesday night's game against Tampa Bay in the fifth inning after injuring his right hamstring when he slid awkwardly to avoid a tag at second base.

Wilkerson, who had doubled, twisted his upper body to avoid the tag by second baseman Ty Wigginton and started his slide late. He walked off the field after being examined by a trainer and talking to manager Ron Washington.
