ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Garret Anderson of the Los Angeles Angels left after two innings of Game 3 of the American League Division Series against Boston on Sunday because of conjunctivitis in his swollen right eye.
The left fielder flied out to right field in his only at-bat. He was replaced by Reggie Willits.
First baseman Casey Kotchman didn't play and was replaced by Kendry Morales. Kotchman had a non-baseball-related medical condition and was not available, manager Mike Scioscia said.
He left Friday's 6-3 loss in the eighth inning after being hit by a pitch on his left shoulder. The slugger had treatment and tests on Saturday.
"He's good to go," Scioscia said Sunday.
Guerrero started in right field Friday for the first time since Sept. 4 after an irritated right triceps had limited him to designated hitter duties.
Juan Rivera was the Angels' designated hitter Sunday, while the rest of the Angels' lineup remained the same. Rivera was a pinch-hitter in Game 2.
