Rockies' Tulowitzki returns after nearly two months on DL
DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies got their smooth-fielding shortstop back when the team activated Troy Tulowitzki from the 15-day disabled list before their game Friday against the New York Mets.
To make room for Tulowitzki, the Rockies optioned infielder Doug Bernier to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Tulowitzki missed 46 games after tearing his left quadriceps muscle while making an off-balance throw against San Francisco on April 29. He is batting .152 this season with one home run and 11 RBI.
Colorado was 20-26 in his absence.
