Padres recall righty Hensley, option infielder Stansberry

DENVER -- The San Diego Padres recalled right-hander Clay Hensley from Triple-A Portland on Tuesday and optioned infielder Craig Stansberry.

Hensley has been on the disabled list since the start of the season with a right shoulder strain. He was reinstated and sent to Portland on June 6 for a rehab assignment, going 1-1 with a 3.25 ERA in 14 appearances. He made one rehab appearance for Class A Lake Elsinore on April 22.

Stansberry, who was recalled from Portland on June 6, hit .375 with a double and two RBI in 12 games with San Diego.
