SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic -- Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andruw Jones will play winter league ball in the Dominican Republic with the Aguilas Cibaenas.
Jones is set to arrive on Dec. 10 and be ready to play two days later, team president Winston Llenas said on Wednesday, adding that Dodgers teammate Rafael Furcal persuaded Jones to play for the team.
Jones signed a two-year, $36.2 million contract last winter with the Dodgers. He hit .158 with three homers and 14 RBI this season.
