CHICAGO -- Right-handed reliever Chad Fox and the Chicago Cubs agreed to a minor league contract Wednesday.
Fox was added to the Cubs' roster May 2 and was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in three relief appearances before a season-ending injury to his right elbow. That was his first major league action since 2005.
The 38-year-old Fox is 10-12 with six saves and a 3.60 ERA in 217 relief appearances over parts of nine seasons with Atlanta, Milwaukee, Boston, Florida and the Cubs.
