Diamondbacks recall LHP Doug Slaten from Triple-A

PHOENIX (AP) -The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled lefty reliever Doug Slaten from Triple-A Reno.

Slaten takes the roster spot that opened when the club traded right-hander Tony Pena to the Chicago White Sox for infielder Brandon Allen on Tuesday. Allen is expected to be assigned to Reno.

Slaten has a 6.35 ERA in 10 games with the Diamondbacks this year.
