Tigers All-Star Inge undergoes surgery on both knees

DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers All-Star third baseman Brandon Inge has undergone surgery on both knees.

The team said Wednesday the procedure at the Detroit Medical Center addressed chronic patellar tendinitis that plagued Inge last season. The procedure on Tuesday involved the repair of the patellar tendon in both knees.

Inge is expected to be ready for the start of spring training in February. The 32-year-old native of Lynchburg, Va., hit .230 with 27 home runs and 84 RBI in 161 games.

As much as his .230 average stinks, I like Brandon and hopes he comes back stronger next year because he is a great guy to have on the team. Still can't believe he made the All-Star team with those numbers but he is a solid middle of the road guy and definitely leaves it all out on the field.
