Royals agree to one-year deals with six players
SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Right-hander Jeremy Jeffress, acquired in the trade that sent Zack Greinke to Milwaukee, and second baseman Chris Getz were among six players to agree to one-year contracts with the Kansas City Royals.
Getz hit .237 and stole 15 bases in 17 attempts last year. The 23-year-old Jeffress was 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 10 relief outings for Milwaukee last season.
The Royals also agreed to terms with right-handers Greg Holland and Sean O'Sullivan and outfielders Gregor Blanco and Mitch Maier.
