Phillies put reliever Romero on DL with strained calf
PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies have placed left-hander J.C. Romero on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right calf.
Lefty Mike Zagurski was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take Romero's roster spot. Romero was injured in the ninth inning of a 4-3 loss to Milwaukee on Monday. He is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA in seven games this season.
Zagurski was 1-0 with one save and a 0.00 ERA in three games for the IronPigs. Last year, Zagurski was 2-3 with three saves and a 3.27 ERA in 52 appearances for Lehigh Valley.
