Orioles put Izturis on disabled list, recall Snyder
BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Orioles have placed infielder Cesar Izturis on the disabled list with an injury to the nerve in his right elbow.
The move Wednesday is retroactive to May 13. Izturis was batting .192 in 16 games.
The Orioles recalled infielder Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Norfolk. Snyder hit .276 with five homers and 16 RBI in 35 games with the Tides.
