White Sox activate 3B Teahen from disabled list
CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox have activated third baseman Mark Teahen from the 15-day disabled list and designated right-hander reliever Jeff Marquez for assignment.
The team announced the moves before its home game Sunday against Detroit.
Teahen was out with a strained right oblique. He is hitting .226 with one home run and four RBI in 24 games. He was 6 for 31 in eight games with Triple-A Charlotte on his rehab assignment.
He has been playing a reserve role for the White Sox, filling in at third base, first base, right and left field.
Marquez did not pitch for the White Sox after his contract was purchased from Charlotte.
