Both managers, two pitchers ejected from Orioles-Sox wire reports

BOSTON -- Baltimore Orioles reliever Michael Gonzalez and manager Buck Showalter were both ejected in the bottom of the sixth inning against the Red Sox after Gonzalez threw a pitch behind Boston's David Ortiz.

Ortiz did not charge the mound Sunday the way he did Friday night, a move which touched off a benches clearing brawl between the two clubs. Instead, he stood glaring at Gonzalez, who was immediately ejected by umpire Marty Foster. Foster then pointed at Showalter in the Orioles dugout and tossed him, too.

Foster also ejected Red Sox starter Kyle Weiland and manager Terry Francona in the fifth inning. Weiland, who was making his major league debut, said something after hitting Vladimir Guerrero and Francona was tossed for coming to his rookie pitcher's defense.
