Braves' Hanson back in uniform, first time since wreck wire reports

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Tommy Hanson is back on the field for the Atlanta Braves, his first appearance in uniform since a car wreck.

Hanson did some light throwing in right field at Champion Stadium on Sunday, supervised by the training staff.

He's coming back slowly after sustaining a concussion last Monday, when his car blew a tire on the way to the first official workout of spring training. Hanson's vehicle went down an embankment, leaving him with a bump on the head and some bruises.

The right-hander says he's fully recovered from a shoulder injury that limited him to 22 starts last season. He went 11-7 with a 3.60 ERA and is expected to be one of the key pitchers in the Braves' rotation.
