MEDICAL WATCH:

--3B Pablo Sandoval (sore left hand) left the May 2 game, and manager Bruce Bochy hinted that the injury could be serious.

--1B/OF Aubrey Huff (anxiety disorder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 22. He could be activated when eligible to come off the DL on May 7.

--LHP Jeremy Affeldt (sprained right knee) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 28.

--2B Freddy Sanchez (right shoulder surgery in August 2011) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 26. He was still struggling with his throwing in mid-April. He began a rehab assignment with Class A San Jose on April 23, but he was shut down a few days later because of shoulder soreness. He was still unable to make full-strength throws as of May 2.

--RHP Brian Wilson (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 13, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 27. He underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery April 19.

--LHP Eric Surkamp (strained flexor tendon in left elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 26.

--LHP Dan Runzler (strained lat muscle) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 26.
