TORONTO -- Pitchers Bob File, Sean Douglass and Mike Nakamura were among six players outrighted by the Toronto Blue Jays to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday.
Also sent to Syracuse were infielders Howie Clark and Jorge Sequea. Catcher Bobby Estalella became a free agent after declining his assignment to Syracuse following reinstatement from the disabled list.
File was 1-0 with a 4.38 ERA in 24 games for Toronto, Douglass went 0-2 with a 6.28 ERA and Nakamura was 0-3 with a 7.36 ERA.
Clark hit .217 in 30 games with Toronto, Sequea hit .269 in 97 games with Syracuse and Estalella appeared in just five games with the Blue Jays before he sprained his right ankle and missed the rest of the season.
