Phillies' Wolf expected to start rehab assignment Thursday
DUNEDIN, Fla. -- Philadelphia Phillies starter Randy Wolf expects to start a minor league rehabilitation assignment Thursday with Class-A Clearwater.
Wolf threw three scoreless innings in his second extended spring training start on Saturday. He had elbow ligament replacement surgery last July 1, and is expected to rejoin the Phillies in about a month.
"Physically, I felt great," Wolf said.
The left-hander allowed two hits, one walk, hit a batter and struck out four against Toronto minor leaguers. He worked out of a bases-loaded situation in the second with consecutive strikeouts.
