Yankees minor-leaguer pitcher suspended for 50 games
NEW YORK -- Major League Baseball suspended New York Yankees minor league pitcher Daniel McCutchen for 50 games on Tuesday for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.
McCutchen plays for the Single-A Charleston RiverDogs of the South Atlantic League, where he is 1-0 with one save and a 2.14 ERA in seven games. He also pitched for the Class A Staten Island Yankees of the New York-Penn League this season, going 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA in two games.
