Shoulder - Questionable for start of season (Updated - 2/14/17)
News
Tillman (shoulder) has progressed to playing long toss, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

It was announced earlier this month that Tillman was expected to miss Opening Day with a shoulder ailment, but all the news since then seems to be positive. The right-hander says that his shoulder feels great, and the Orioles seem to be optimistic about his progress. Look for the three-time Opening Day starter to return to the rotation in early-April.

News
Castillo (neck) played for the Nationals on Sunday after missing last game with a sore neck, Peter Schmuck of the Baltimore Sun reports.

It was never a serious injury for Castillo, and he confirmed that on Sunday as he entered the Nationals' lineup against the Pirates, recording his first hit of the exhibition season in the process. He is still set to play for the Dominican Republic in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

Jones went 1-for-3 with a double and a strikeout in his spring debut on Saturday against the Pirates.

Jones, batting cleanup, doubled in his second at-bat and had an assist from the outfield in the fifth inning. He's getting into Grapefruit League action early this spring to prepare for the upcoming World Baseball Classic. The veteran is set to join Team USA after next weekend's exhibition games.

Back - Probable for start of season (Updated - 2/17/17)
News
Hardy said his back is feeling much better after yesterday's injection, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

According to Hardy, yesterday's treatment was done to "get over the hump." There's not much concern about his Opening Day status at this point, but it'd be reassuring for fantasy owners to see him back on the practice field soon.

News
Wilson struck out one over two perfect innings Friday against the Tigers in the team's Grapefruit League opener.

Wilson only needed six pitches to retire all-star's Ian Kinsler, Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera in the opening frame. Originally, manager Buck Showalter thought that Wilson would throw only an inning, but he made such quick work of the Tigers that he came out for a second. The right-hander, who is battling for one of the final spots on the Orioles' pitching staff, finished the day with 21 pitches. Wilson's main competition will come from right-handers Logan Verrett and Mike Wright, both of whom can start and relieve, as well as newly-acquired southpaws Richard Bleier and Vidal Nuno.

Injuries
Finger - Questionable for start of season (Updated - 2/25/17)
News
Bourn broke his right ring finger playing football on Friday and will be out four weeks, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

It's devastating news for Bourn, who signed a minor league contract with the Orioles this offseason and was competing for a reserve outfield role on the roster. The 34-year-old was traded to Baltimore by Arizona last August and ended the year hitting .264 with 38 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 113 games. Bourn's injury opens the door for Craig Gentry or Joey Rickard to earn more outfield playing time as spring camp continues.

Injuries
Oblique - Probable for start of season (Updated - 2/26/17)
News
Britton (oblique) said his side was no longer sore and he is scheduled to play catch on Sunday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Although there still isn't a timetable set for Britton and his return, the closer indicated he wasn't worried about his oblique ailment and noted he was no longer sore on Sunday. With an extended camp, the Orioles are in no hurry for him to return, and they'll likely take things cautiously looking forward, although he seems to be nearing a return.

News
Ynoa allowed a run on three hits and struck out one over two innings in Saturday's exhibition game against the Pirates.

The recently-acquired right-hander struggled through a rocky first inning before settling down to retire all three Pirates he face in the second. "In the first inning, I was going too [quickly] toward home plate," Ynoa said through an interpreter. "In the second inning, I was [calmer], under control, so I think that was the difference." Ynoa will likely begin the year as a starter in Triple-A Norfolk, but an improvement this spring could earn him a few spot starts for the Orioles later in the season.

News
Mancini struck out in all three of his at-bats and left five runners on base in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates.

The Orioles' No. 3 prospect opened the Grapefruit League season with a hit Friday against the Tigers, but the results in his latest contest weren't so kind. Mancini started both games at first base while Chris Davis has yet to make his spring debut. Saturday's hat trick was an illustration of why the youngster is expected to continue grooming in the minors this season.
