Davis went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts Tuesday, extending his hitting slump to 0-for-24 since July 16.

Davis has 11 strikeouts over the same stretch. He was slowed last week by the flu and that might have come into play when he returned in time for the weekend. While Davis has had a hard time with contact this season, he is walking 13.5 percent of the time, the highest of his career.

News
Worley will be available out of the Orioles' bullpen Thursday, but he could return to the rotation at some point in the near future, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.

Worley and Ubaldo Jimenez seem to be competing for starts in the No. 5 spot for the Orioles going forward, and Jimenez has been as bad as any starting pitcher in baseball this year, so Worley should get his chance again. He has a 4.50 ERA as a starter and 2.23 ERA as a reliever, so understandably the Orioles would like to keep him in the bullpen if they can find a way to acquire a more competent fifth starter before the trade deadline.

News
Tillman (14-3) was knocked around by the Rockies in Tuesday's start, surrendering six runs on nine hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out four.

Tillman was looking for what would have been a major league best 15th win in Tuesday's start, but was denied by the Rockies' offense. While Tillman entered the game with a less than stellar 108:48 K:BB ratio, control was not his problem, as he threw an impressive 64 out of 89 pitches for strikes. Tillman avoided giving up a home run, but allowed Rockies hitters to string together singles and doubles in the third and fifth innings, thus the six earned runs. He'll look to continue to keep the ball in the yard and in the strike zone while scattering hits next time in Toronto on Sunday.

News
Jimenez (5-9) pitched five innings, allowing one run, five hits and three walks while striking out eight Thursday against the Twins. He did not factor in the decision.

Making his return from the paternity list, Jimenez turned in his best performance since his first start of the year back on April 7. The veteran is having the worst season of his major league career, but Jimenez managed to put it together in a 104-pitch performance that went to the wayside when he turned the game over to the bullpen. Although Thursday's outing was pleasant, practically nothing else about Jimenez's season has been fun, and this one night shouldn't change the overall picture regarding his fantasy value. The right-hander has been the subject of recent trade rumors, but assuming he sticks in Baltimore, he'll make his next start Wednesday against the Rangers.

News
Jones went 2-for-4 with a home run, his 19th of the year, in Thursday's loss to the Twins.

Jones has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 starts, and has homered in two of his last three. After a monstrous display of power in June (11 home runs with a .982 OPS), the outfielder has cooled off significantly this month (three longballs and a .723 OPS). The opportunity to sell high on Jones is certainly out the window, but there's no reason to complain about a guy pacing toward 30 home runs and 95 RBI.

News
Gallardo limited the Rockies to two runs over 6.2 innings, allowing five hits, walking two and striking out six.

Gallardo's start on Monday lowered his ERA to 5.37, the lowest point it's been since his second start of the season. His six strikeouts matched his season high. The veteran righty will look to build on his strong start when he takes the mound Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Wieters is not in Thursday's lineup against the Twins, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Wieters will get a regular day off after starting the past three games behind the plate. In his place, Caleb Joseph will man the catcher's duties for Ubaldo Jimenez, while batting ninth in the order. Since returning from a foot injury that caused Wieters to miss six games, he has gone 2-for-12 with a double.

News
Schoop went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and another run scored in Sunday's win over the Indians.

The homer was his 17th of the season, a new career high, and Schoop is enjoying his third straight solid month with a .282/.309/.513 slash line, four homers and 12 RBI in 78 July at-bats. He hasn't drawn a walk all month, though, posting a 0:16 BB:K, so a batting average correction could be coming.

News
Wilson tossed four perfect innings with three strikeouts Tuesday in relief of starter Chris Tillman.

Wilson was very efficient, needing just 40 pitches to breeze through four innings. He was in consideration for Thursday's start before manager Buck Showalter plucked him from the bullpen Tuesday. It looks like he is back to long relief with the Orioles, though a spot in the rotation could open at any time with Ubaldo Jimenez back in the rotation. The Orioles figure to be looking to acquire a starter at the deadline, which would also bump Wilson from a shot at starting.

Reimold pinch hit for Julio Borbon in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday and launched a walkoff, two-run home run off Indians closer Cody Allen.

It was his first homer in almost two months, and Reimold entered Sunday's game hitting just .130 (3-for-23) in July. The Reimold-Borbon duo will likely split time in left field while both Hyun Soo Kim (hamstring) and Joey Rickard (thumb) are on the shelf, but Kim could return as soon as Tuesday. If Reimold keeps playing hero for the O's, though, he'll work his way into more playing time even after Kim is back.

News
Bundy allowed three runs on just two hits and walk over 5.2 innings while striking out eight and taking a loss Wednesday against the Rockies.

What initially looks like a pedestrian line was anything but for Bundy, who carried a perfect game into the sixth inning with one out. But Bundy was yanked in the sixth after giving up a walk and a pair of home runs on hanging change-ups, finishing the start with a season-high 89 pitches. The start was just Bundy's third of the season, and Baltimore appears to have him on a tight pitch count, as well they should given Bundy's long injury history. Bundy said after the game that he was actually disappointed with his season-high eight strikeouts, citing it as something that raised his pitch count, rendering him unable to pitch deeper into the game. Bundy owners shouldn't expect too many innings from him going forward, but Wednesdays start was certainly an encouraging one overall.

Kim went 1-for-3 with a single and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies.

News
O'Day struck out the side in a perfect ninth inning Sunday to earn his third win of the season.

He looked sharp in his first appearance since recovering from a hamstring injury, and Nolan Reimold's walkoff homer in the bottom half of the ninth gave O'Day a nice reward for his efforts. He should resume his spot as one of Zach Britton's setup men going forward and be a strong source of holds and strikeouts down the stretch.
