News
Gausman (0-2) struck out seven, but allowed four runs on five hits and a walk over five innings Thursday in a 4-2 loss to the Astros.

Gausman's improved control this year has been an asset, but he was around the plate a little too much in this one, serving up three homers that accounted for all four runs. That said, his 37:9 K:BB in 41.2 innings remains quite impressive, so despite his lack of wins, Gausman is showing good signs that he's finally arriving as a legitimate mid-rotation starter. He'll make his next start Tuesday against the division-rival Red Sox.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.

Mark Trumbo will get the start at DH and Hyun-soo Kim will man left field, bumping Alvarez to the bench in this one. The 29-year-old is hitting just .194 with three home runs and 11 RBI on the season.

News
Jimenez (2-6) lasted 1.2 innings Saturday against the Indians, allowing five runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks with one strikeout.

Jimenez had another awful outing and allowed six runs for the third straight start, although three of those were unearned. His place in the rotation might be on jeopardy, and his ERA ballooned to 6.36 after another woeful performance. His next scheduled start will come Thursday against the Red Sox, although at this point it remains to be seen if the 32-year-old stays in the rotation for another week.

Janish is in the lineup and batting ninth for Thursday's game against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.

Janish is just 1-for-11 since being added to the roster and has yet to tally a run or RBI, so his fantasy value is likely to be slim-to-none.

News
Jones went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run against the Indians on Saturday.

The center fielder has hit in five of the past seven games, but he hasn't shown a lot of power with only one extra-base hit in the past 10 contests. It has been a disappointing season nonetheless for Jones, who's hit .245 in May after struggling to the tone of a .224 average in April.

Wieters is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Indians.

Caleb Joseph will take over behind the plate Friday after Wieters was able to catch three games in a row against the Astros. Wieters has been one of Baltimore's hottest hitters of late, slashing .435/.435/.652 with a home run and three RBI over the last week, but manager Buck Showalter will give him the day off to keep him fresh. Look for Wieters to return to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Indians.

Trumbo went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and a strikeout Saturday against Cleveland.

Foot - Expected to be out until at least Jun 13 (Updated - 5/3/16)
News
Hardy (foot) will undergo a CT scan Friday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

If the results of the scan show that Hardy's foot has fully healed, he'll be cleared to resume baseball activities. The shortstop has already had the boot removed from his left foot, so it seems that he's progressed as expected so far.

News
Rickard is out of the lineup Sunday against the Indians, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

With Rickard's on-base percentage plummeting in May, the Rule 5 pickup has begun to lose his grip on a regular starting role in the outfield. The hot-hitting Hyun Soo Kim will make his fifth consecutive start Sunday, and Rickard may be forced to settle for a part-time role going forward if Kim continues to excel near the top of the order.

News
Schoop will move up to second in the batting order for Wednesday's game against Houston.

The Orioles are shuffling their lineup Wednesday with leadoff man Joey Rickard sitting out, so Manny Machado will lead off and Schoop will slide up to second in the order. Wednesday marks the first time this season that Schoop has hit higher than sixth. He'll be facing Collin McHugh, who he has gone 0-for-3 against in his career.

News
Wilson (2-3) gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits -- two of them homers -- in Wednesday's loss to Houston. He struck out four without a walk.

After giving up five his last time out, Wilson got back to his normal mode, as he's allowed either two or three runs in five of his six starts. With just 22 strikeouts in 42.2 innings, though, it's hard to expect Wilson to maintain his current 3.80 ERA. That .232 BABIP has him primed for regression.

News
Machado was 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and one RBI as the Orioles defeated Cleveland on Friday night.

Just about a week ago, Machado was finishing off a mini-slump which had seen him go 2-for-24, but his bat won't stay silent for long. He's heating back up and is now hitting .323 on the season and has collected 29 RBIs.

News
Wright allowed three runs on six hits, walking two and striking out four, but lasted just 4.2 innings and came away with a no-decision against Cleveland on Friday night.

Wright saw his ERA drift up to 5.05 on the season while again failing to take the team deep into the game. He tossed 99 pitches (60 for strikes) but didn't get out of the fifth inning. He'll take on a tough Boston lineup in Baltimore next time out, but he'll have to be more efficient to make himself fantasy relevant going forward.

Britton tossed a perfect ninth inning to record his 13th save of the season against Cleveland on Friday night. He struck out one.

Britton did it his way - a strikeout and two groundballs - to make it 13-for-13 in save chances while dropping his ERA to a sparkling 1.35 on the year. The Orioles and his fantasy owners continue to enjoy his reliability in finishing off opponents.

News
Kim will make his fifth straight start in left field Sunday against the Indians, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Kim has been spectacular at the dish in a part-time role through the first two months of the season, and it appears manager Buck Showalter is finally willing to give the outfielder a look in a full-time role. During the last four games, Kim has gone 6-for-15 with a walk, and has will occupy the No. 2 spot in the order Sunday for the third straight contest. With his at-bats on the upswing and a hold on a prominent spot in a potent lineup, Kim makes for an intriguing roster pickup in deeper formats.
