Foot - 15-day DL. On Triple-A rehab assignment. Might return for July 17-19 series vs. Baltimore (Updated - 7/8/09)
    News
From The Sports Xchange: LF Carlos Quentin (plantar fasciitis left foot) was 0-for-3 in his third rehab assignment game Monday and is 4-for-8 overall with Triple-A Charlotte. He had Tuesday off as a rest day. The timetable for his return from the 15-day disabled list, however, is still after the All-Star break. According to manager Ozzie Guillen, the reports were still good, except Quentin was still tentative rounding the bases but OK running straight at them.

    News
From The Sports Xchange: Jayson Nix was given the start at second base against Cleveland and had a hit, but the start was more because of what he did on the last trip rather than what Chris Getz didn't do. Nix was 5-for-19 on the seven-game trip, which is only a .261 average, but included were three doubles, a homer, four runs scored and a stolen base. Manager Ozzie Guillen was just staying with the hot bat. Getz, meanwhile, hit .308 over his past eight games.

    News
White Sox 1B Paul Konerko had one of the biggest games of his career Tuesday against the Indians, going deep three times and driving in a career-high seven runs. He finished 3 for 4. "It was one of those days where I didn't feel all that different going into it. It was just having good at-bats and making good decisions," said Konerko. "The grand slam, obviously got bases loaded and got ahead in the count so you're feeling good about getting a pitch to drive to the outfield. A good time in the year to do it. A couple of those balls don't go early in the year and that's what you wait for hopefully in the summer here."

Knee - 15-day DL. Expected to make Triple-A rehab start July 9 (Updated - 7/9/09)
    News
Right-hander Bartolo Colon, whose whereabouts had been uncertain a day earlier, is now expected to join the Chicago White Sox's Triple-A team in Charlotte and make his scheduled injury rehab start Thursday, a spokesman said. White Sox general manager Ken Williams said Tuesday the team wasn't sure where Colon was. He was put on the disabled list June 9 and had been in Arizona rehabbing a sore knee and working on his pitching before making a rehab start. "I know where he is supposed to be right now. He's supposed to be in (Triple-A) Charlotte, preparing to start Thursday," Williams said Tuesday, adding that Colon's agent hadn't been in close contact with the pitcher.
