Twins pitcher Ricky Nolasco will undergo ankle surgery on Monday, per the Star Tribune. He has has been on the 15-day disabled list since June 4 with a right ankle impingement.

General manager Terry Ryan doesn't have a timetable for Nolasco's return, but some are optimistic he will be back this season.

"I have never dealt with something like this, with any player we've ever had," Ryan said, per 1500ESPN.com. "This little fragment in his foot that doesn't allow him to push off [the mount]."
