News
Cishek (hip) started for Triple-A Tacoma on Friday versus El Paso, pitching a scoreless two-thirds of an inning and giving up one hit and two walks, Bob Dutton of The News Tribune reports.

It was Cishek's first rehab start at the Triple-A level after pitching a scoreless inning for Double-A Arkansas on Monday. The veteran reliever fired 20 pitches Friday, getting exactly half in the strike zone. The 30-year-old is slated for multiple rehab appearances for Tacoma before his Mariners 2017 debut.

News
Hand picked up his second hold of the season in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks. He tossed 1.1 perfect innings while striking out four.

The veteran southpaw technically recorded five outs Thursday, but Austin Hedges dropped a third strike in the seventh inning and allowed A.J. Pollock to reach base despite striking out. Hand has picked up right where he left off last season when he developed into a dominant bullpen arm. With nine strikeouts and just one hit allowed through seven innings, Hand is a premier middle relief option in holds leagues and should be rostered if he wasn't already.

News
Stanton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's loss to the Padres.

Don't look now, but the big man has homered in consecutive games and three times in his last six starts, giving him five bombs on the season to go along with a very Stanton-esque .267/.348/.533 slash line. As long as he can stay healthy, expect to see his name among the league's home run leaders in short order.

News
Morrison will serve as the Rays' designated hitter and bat second in the order Sunday against the Astros, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Morrison isn't likely to stick in the No. 2 spot beyond Sunday, as that spot in the lineup was only open because Kevin Kiermaier is getting his first day off of the season. Expect Morrison to return to the sixth spot in the order during Monday's series opener against the Orioles.
