Astros outfielder Justin Maxwell is expected to begin a rehab assignment Wednesday at extended spring training, MLB.com reports.

Maxwell suffered a broken hand April 23. He took 20 batting practice swings Friday and says he feels good. He's looking at an early June return.

Astros starter Bud Norris (back) said he expects to make his next start Monday against the Rockies, MLB.com reports. 

Norris left each of his last two starts with lower-back spasms, but both times his removal was considered precautionary. He received a massage treatment Wednesday.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has dropped Scott Boras as his agent, according to MLB.com.

Altuve rejoined Scott Pucino and Wil Polidor of Octagon, where he left about a year ago for Boras. Altuve is still under team control through the 2017 season, so he won't be a free agent anytime soon. He won't be arbitration-eligible until 2015. Altuve is hitting .327/.361/.430 in 165 at-bats.

Astros starter Dallas Keuchel earned his first win of the season Monday against the Royals. Keuchel improved to 1-1 despite a so-so performance. 

Jeremy Guthrie struggled for the Royals and Keuchel won behind Houston's offense. He allowed four earned runs on nine hits and four walks over 6 2/3 innings for the win. Keuchel struck out six and his ERA is 4.93. 

The 25-year-old Houston starter has been decent in three starts after beginning the year out of the bullpen. His next start is scheduled for Sunday against Oakland.

Astros third baseman Matt Dominguez will take the next two days off due to left quad tightness, MLB.com reports. Dominguez will sit out Wednesday against Kansas City and the Astros are off Thursday.
