No reason to doubt Chris Davis anymore
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

From April 22 to May 8, the Orioles' Chris Davis hit .188 (9 for 48), filling those who predicted his imminent demise with glee. But since then, he's batting .341 (14 for 41) with four home runs in 10 games.

In the biz, we call that "weathering the storm." Or at least we should. Basically, when a guy overdue for a cold streak comes out of that cold streak with numbers nearly as impressive as when he went in, his breakthrough seems all the more credible.

I still think Davis' batting average will gradually fall to about the .280 range over the next four-plus months, but he'll have so many bursts of productivity during that time that you'll hardly care. I recently moved him to 13th in my first base rankings, ahead of Freddie Freeman, making him more or less indispensable in all formats.

Nolan Reimold to travel on road trip
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com

Orioles injured outfielder Nolan Reimold could travel with the team on upcoming road trip beginning Thursday in Toronto, the Baltimore Sun reports Tuesday.

Reimold will continue hitting on the trip before eventually going out on a minor-league injury rehab assignment. He is on the 15-day DL due to a right hamstring strain.

Adam Jones playing through leg soreness
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com

Orioles outfielder Adam Jones is getting the start at designated hitter Tuesday versus the Yankees as he's dealing with some right leg soreness, MLB.com reports.

Jones stole second base late in Monday's game and came up a bit lame following hitting the bag. He's healthy enough to hit, but the Orioles want him to take a game off his feet.

Jones, batting .319 on the year, enters Tuesday's game with a five-game hitting streak in which he's gone 8 for 23 (.348) with a homer and five RBI. He also has three stolen bases over that stretch.

Taylor Teagarden nearing game action
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com

The Orioles say catcher Taylor Teagarden is a few days from playing in an extended spring training game, the Baltimore Sun reports Tuesday. The game could come Monday.

Teagarden is on the disabled list with a thumb injury and recently had his split removed. He's begun a hitting and catching progression that will lead him to rehab games.
