Rockies' David Dahl: No timetable for return
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dahl (ribs) still has no timetable for his return, the Denver Post reports.

The Rockies' left fielder has been on the DL since early spring training and doesn't appear to be nearing an imminent return. Dahl's ribs are gradually improving and he hasn't suffered a recent setback, but the slow progress over the last month isn't ideal as the All-Star break looms.

Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Works out of bullpen Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson (knee) tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Thursday's 10-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. He gave up one hit and one walk and struck out three batters.

Anderson was activated from the disabled list prior to the series finale following a successful rehab outing June 18, but it looks like he'll have to settle for bullpen duty for the time being. The left-hander's replacement in the rotation, Jeff Hoffman, had allowed three or fewer runs in five starts before getting torched by the Diamondbacks for nine runs in 3.2 innings Wednesday, but Hoffman should get at least one more opportunity to right the ship before Rockies manager Bud Black would consider going back to Anderson as the club's fifth starter. As he demonstrated Thursday, Anderson offers more strikeout upside than most of the Rockies' other starting options, but he's had a difficult time keeping the ball in the yard, which has kept his ERA at a bloated 5.75 on the season.

Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Homers against D-backs
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Blackmon went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI during Thursday's loss to Arizona.

The outfielder is taking a run at a career year and continues to provide elite fantasy numbers. Blackmon ranks among the top 10 in the majors in RBI (56), runs (62), and batting average (.326), and his 16 homers and five stolen bases round out his beastly cross-category return.

Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: ERA climbs to 4.79 after loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Senzatela (9-3) allowed nine runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three batters over five innings during Thursday's loss to Arizona.

The wheels appear to have fallen off for Senzatela. He entered Thursday's outing with a 5.49 ERA and 1.37 WHIP through his previous seven starts, and the rookie has now allowed 17 runs over his past three outings at Coors Field. That's a concerning trend. Often times, teams are able to get a read on young pitchers once there is more film on them at the highest level, and that is likely the case with Senzatela. How he deals with adversity and adjusts in his next handful of games will be telling. A soft matchup against San Francisco at AT&T Park is on deck for the 22-year-old righty, at least.

Rockies' Carlos Estevez: Sent back to minors
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Estevez was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

With Tyler Anderson returning from the disabled list, Estevez will again head back to Albuquerque to serve as organizational depth. To sum up how his year is going in the majors, the 24-year-old actually lowered his ERA to 8.10 after allowing two runs over 2.1 innings in his most recent stint with the big club.
