The Florida Marlins, based in Miami, Fla., participate in Major League Baseball (MLB) and are a member of the National League East Division. The Marlins were founded in 1993. Since their inception, they have played home games at Dolphin Stadium, which is currently called Land Shark Stadium. It was originally known as Joe Robbie Stadium and was also called Pro Player Stadium from 1996 through 2004. The club has won two World Series Championships (1997, 2003).
