The Los Angeles Dodgers, based in Los Angeles, Calif., participate in Major League Baseball (MLB) and are a member of the National League West Division. The Dodgers were founded in 1890 as the Brooklyn Bridegrooms. While in Brooklyn, they were also known as the Brooklyn Superbas from 1899-1910, the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1911-1913 and again from 1932-195 and the Robins from 1914-1931. They moved to Los Angeles and became the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1958. Since 1962, they have played their home games at Dodger Stadium. The club has won six World Championships (1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988).
