Dodgers' Yasiel Puig: Being investigated by commissioner's office
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Yasiel Puig will be investigated by the commissioner's office under MLB's new domestic violence policy after an incident at a Miami bar Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Times' Dylan Hernandez reports.

Nobody is pressing charges after Puig apparently got into a fist fight with a bouncer, so police consider the case closed. However, MLB still has the power to dole out punishment under the new policy. The domestic violence element stems from a TMZ report that bar employees got involved in the situation after Puig had a physical altercation with his sister. MLB has the power to hand out any punishment they deem necessary in these cases, so in theory Puig is in danger of being suspended for games in 2016.

Dodgers' Omar Estevez: Signs with Dodgers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Estevez, a top Cuban prospect, has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers that includes a $6 million signing bonus, MLB.com reports.

Estevez is just 17 years old, so he doesn't have much of a track record of playing in Cuba. He's seen as having above-average power and a muscular body, according to MLB.com. It may be several years before we see if his potential translates to a U.S. baseball game.

Salcedo signed a minor league contract Monday with the Dodgers, Brandon Warne of Cold Omaha 96.3 reports.

Salcedo is currently serving a 100-game suspension that will keep him out until August of 2016. This is his second major suspension for PED use. Upon his return, he'll still only be either in the Double-A or Triple-A for the remainder of the 2016 season.

Dodgers' Yusnier Diaz: Agrees to terms with Dodgers
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Diaz agreed to terms with the Dodgers on a deal that includes a $15.5 million signing bonus, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports.

Diaz hit .348/.448/.440 for the Havana Industriales of the Serie Nacional last season, and currently ranks third among the Top 30 international prospects, according to MLB.com. The Dodgers haven't officially confirmed the deal, but it seems like it should be completed barring something occurring during the physical. The 19-year-old outfielder is considered to have plus speed with a little power, legging out 13 doubles and three triples in 65 games with the Industriales.

Dodgers' Charlie Culberson: Signs minor league deal with Dodgers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Charlie Culberson signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday that includes an invite to spring training, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

A back injury forced Culberson to the DL to start the year, and he was outrighted upon activation in June, effectively ending his time with the Rockies. The 26-year-old has seen time at second base, third, short, first, and left field in his three seasons in the majors, but will need to hit in spring training to have any shot at a utility role on this team.
