| Team Information |
| The Miami Marlins, based in Miami, Fla., participate in Major League Baseball (MLB) and are a member of the National League East Division. The Marlins were founded as the Florida Marlins in 1993, and kept that name through the 2011 season. The Marlins' first venue went through several name changes during the team's time there. It was known as Dolphin Stadium but was originally called Joe Robbie Stadium. It was Pro Player Stadium from 1996 through 2004 and Land Shark Stadium for the 2009 season. In 2010, it became Sun Life Stadium. The team moved to New Marlins Ballpark for the 2012 season. The club has won two World Series Championships (1997, 2003). |
