Brewers' Jacob Nottingham: Will attend spring training
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Nottingham will attend spring training with the Milwaukee Brewers this year, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports.

This news comes a day after the Brewers acquired Nottingham in the Khris Davis trade with Oakland. While Nottingham is quite clearly the team's catcher of the future, he has not yet played above High-A, so he should spend all of 2016 in the upper levels of the minors.

Brewers' Domingo Santana: Leading candidate to take over left field
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Domingo Santana is the leading candidate to take over left field following the Khris Davis trade, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

With the Milwaukee Brewers still rebuilding, giving a well-regarded prospect playing time is a logical outcome and should boost Santana's value in both the short and long term. In 145 plate appearances last season, the 22-year-old Santana hit .231/.345/.421 with six home runs.

Brewers' Jacob Nottingham: Traded to Brewers in Khris Davis deal
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Nottingham was traded to the Brewers in a deal involving Khris Davis on Friday.

Nottingham should enter the Milwaukee system well-positioned to be the organization's catcher of the future. Jonathan Lucroy has only two years of team control remaining and has already seen some loud trade speculation, given that those two years left likely won't feature a competitive Brewers team. Milwaukee has no other significant catching prospects, so Nottingham will be the sole focus as fans look for future potential at that position within the system. In a 2015 season split between between two organizations, Houston and Oakland, and two levels, Low-A and High-A, Nottingham notched an excellent .316/.372/.505 line.

Brewers' Blaine Boyer: Sings minor-league deal with Brewers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Blaine Boyer signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers that includes an invite to spring training.

Boyer should have a solid shot at seeing some major league action during 2016, given that he's thrown 105.1 innings of 2.91 ERA ball in the last two season. The 34-year-old also had a 5.3 K/9 in that span which limits his upside, but what's more worrying is the elbow inflammation he went through last August.
