Eduardo Escobar in Twins' Sunday lineup
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

Twins shortstop Eduardo Escobar was in the team's starting lineup for Sunday's game. Escobar had been questionable for the game with a toe injury.

The toe forced Escobar out of Friday's game in the eighth inning, and he wasn't in the starting lineup on Saturday. He ended up pinch hitting in Saturday's game, however.

Twins pitcher Phil Hughes now 0-3 with defeat on Saturday
by Ted Leshinski | Staff Writer

Twins starting pitcher Phil Hughes (0-3) surrendered four runs on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings of work Saturday to get tagged with the loss against the Indians.

Catcher Roberto Perez had three hits in the game including a homer off Hughes.

"Some guys just come out of spring training and they’re not quite ready yet," Hughes said to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "Maybe I need 3 extra weeks of spring training."

Hughes will seek his first win of the season Friday in Seattle.
