Yankees' Adam Warren: Earns four-out save
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Warren pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to collect his first save of the season during Sunday's win over Oakland.

Dellin Betances threw 24 pitches over 1.2 innings to finish off Oakland on Saturday, so Warren was tasked with closing out the Athletics on Sunday. Warren sports a serviceable 2.73 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 7.9 K/9, but he probably won't pitch in enough late-game situations to provide many chances to earn wins or saves going forward.

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Hits grand slam against Athletics
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Judge went 2-for-4 with a grand slam during Sunday's win over Oakland.

This was just the third round tripper through the past 20 games for Judge, as he's beginning to cool off after his torrid early-season pace. However, he went 22-for-71 (.310 batting average) during that 20-game stretch to continue moving the fantasy needle. There are likely to be more peaks and valleys over the coming months, but Judge's playing time isn't in jeopardy at this point, so he should power his way out of any slumps in short order.

Yankees' Michael Pineda: Collects sixth win Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Pineda (6-2) allowed three runs -- two earned -- on three hits and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings during Sunday's win over Oakland.

It was just the second start all season that Pineda didn't allow a home run, and if he can continue to limit the long ball, the 28-year-old righty should keep piling up wins. The Yankees are the highest-scoring team in the American League, and Pineda's 10.0 K/9 and 50.9 groundball rate have paved the way to a 3.32 ERA. He lines up to face Toronto at the Rogers Centre in his next trip to the hill.

Yankees' Aaron Hicks: Drawing third consecutive start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hicks will start in center field and bat seventh Sunday against the Athletics.

With Jacoby Ellsbury (neck/concussion) hitting the 7-day disabled list Wednesday, Hicks has taken over as the Yankees' primary center fielder in the interim. While he won't have a clear route to regular at-bats once Ellsbury is activated, Hicks could be an appealing short-term pickup where available, as he' s produced well over 137 plate appearances this season, slashing .287/.426/.556 with eight homers and six steals.

Yankees' Chase Headley: Benched for second straight day
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Headley is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics.

Headley will hit the bench for the second day in a row, perhaps signaling that manager Joe Girardi could be preparing to move forward with Ronald Torreyes as the team's primary third baseman. After carrying a 1.146 OPS through the Yankees' first 12 games of the season, Headley has delivered a .494 OPS over his subsequent 31 contests, striking out in 29.6 percent of his plate appearances during that span.
