Phillies' Cameron Rupp: Contributes pair of hits in loss to Mets
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rupp went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Mets.

The 28-year-old backstop drove in the Phillies' only run of the night with a second-inning sacrifice fly that opened the scoring for both teams. Rupp has been swinging a hot bat over his last six games, with three multi-hit outings, a .320 average (8-for-25) and five RBI over that span.

Phillies' Freddy Galvis: Not in lineup Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Galvis (hamstring) is out of the lineup Saturday against the Mets, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.

Galvis was removed in the seventh inning of Friday's matchup due to tightness in his hamstring, and the team will hold him out Saturday, marking his first absence in 49 games. Andres Blanco will get the nod at shortstop and bat second against the Mets' Bartolo Colon.

Phillies' Alec Asher: Solid in final start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Asher allowed three runs on five hits over six innings Friday in a 5-1 loss to the Mets. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.

Asher retired the first 11 hitters he faced before running into some trouble in the fourth inning. He was pulled in the seventh after allowing a Jay Bruce home run to lead off the inning. He finishes 2016 with a 2.28 ERA and a 13:4 K:BB in 27.2 innings. He will likely get a chance to compete for a rotation spot next spring.

Phillies' Freddy Galvis: Leaves game with hamstring tightness
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Galvis left Friday's game with right hamstring tightness, Meghan Montemurro of the News Journal reports.

Andres Blanco pinch hit for Galvis in the bottom of the seventh and stayed in the game at short. Galvis went 1-for-3 prior to exiting -- he hit safely in all but five games in September. His status for the rest of the weekend is uncertain.

Phillies' Zach Eflin: Undergoes successful surgery
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Eflin underwent successful surgery to repair his left patella tendon Friday, Ryan Lawrence of the Philly Voice reports.

Six weeks to the day after he had right knee surgery, Eflin went back under the knife, this time to repair the patella tendon in his left knee. The right-hander is expected to be ready for spring training and will likely get a chance to compete for one of the final spots in the Phillies' rotation.
