Ross Wolf wins in first major-league start
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Rangers pitcher Ross Wolf won in his first major-league start Wednesday, leading Texas to a 3-1 win against the Athletics. The 30-year-old Wolf (1-0) was making his first big league appearance since Oct. 1, 2010, as a reliever with Oakland.

The right-hander retired the first nine hitters and gave up one run with three strikeouts and two walks in five innings. If Wolf remains in the rotation, then he could start during Monday's doubleheader at Arizona.

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com

Rangers starter Alexi Ogando is currently playing catch but is scheduled to throw a bullpen either Sunday or Monday on the road trip, FOX Sports reports Wednesday.

Ogando said Monday that he's only throwing at around 40 percent until the Rangers allow him to amp it up. He's making slow progress and doesn't have a timetable to return.
