Angels report: Roster
--RHP Sean O'Sullivan will be promoted from Class AAA Salt Lake to replace RHP Ervin Santana as the Angels' starting pitcher Tuesday. O'Sullivan was 5-2 with a 6.02 ERA in 10 starts at Triple-A. He will become the 12th starting pitcher used by the Angels this season and 10th rookie pitcher used overall. Both of those figures lead the major leagues. The Angels used just seven pitchers during the entire 2008 season.
--CF Torii Hunter left Monday's game after crashing into the wall while chasing Bengie Molina's double to left-center in the fourth inning. After lying on the warning track for some time, Hunter walked off the field. Precautionary X-rays were taken of his chest and rib area. The X-rays revealed no fracture, and the preliminary diagnosis is bruised ribs. He will be re-evaluated Tuesday.
--DH Vladimir Guerrero will be limited to pinch-hitting with the Angels playing a three-game series in San Francisco, but he was cleared to begin a throwing program. Guerrero has been limited to DH all season because of a torn pectoral muscle near his right arm.
--RHP John Lackey struck out a season-high 10 in seven innings Monday and got the victory over the Giants. He is 12-3 in interleague play during his career, the fourth-highest win percentage of any pitcher with at least 10 wins in interleague play. Lackey also got his first career hit Monday, an RBI single in the Angels' seven-run fourth inning. It came in his 27th major league at-bat.
