--Through their first eight interleague games this season (three against the Dodgers, three against the Padres and the first two of this week's series in San Francisco), the Angels have hit .353 as a team with 23 doubles, three triples and 17 home runs. They are averaging more than 13 hits, 7.5 runs (60 runs total) and two home runs per game against National League teams while winning seven of those eight games.
--DH Vladimir Guerrero is limited to pinch-hitting during the Angels' series in San Francisco, but he was cleared to begin a throwing program. Guerrero has been limited to DH duty all season because of a torn pectoral muscle near his right arm.
--RHP John Lackey struck out a season-high 10 in seven innings Monday and got the victory over the Giants. He is 12-3 in interleague play during his career, the fourth-highest win percentage of any pitcher with at least 10 wins in interleague play. Lackey also got his first career hit Monday, an RBI single in the Angels' seven-run fourth inning. It came in his 27th major league at-bat.
