Angels report: Roster
--RHP Sean O'Sullivan was optioned back to Triple-A Salt Lake after his start Saturday against the Orioles. With an off day Thursday, the Angels will not need a fifth starter again until after the All-Star break. The move allows O'Sullivan to continue starting on a regular basis through the break. He or Matt Palmer could rejoin the Angels' rotation after the break.
--OF Reggie Willits was recalled from Salt Lake when RHP Sean O'Sullivan was optioned.
--LHP Joe Saunders gave up home runs to Brian Roberts and Matt Wieters in his 5 1/3 innings Sunday. He has now given up 20 home runs this season -- the most of any American League pitcher and one short of his career-high for a season. Eighteen of the 20 home runs have been hit by right-handed batters.
--RHP Jered Weaver will start the first game of a three-game series against the Rangers Monday. The Angels have lost five of six to the Rangers in Texas this season but this is their first meeting in Anaheim. Weaver allowed seven runs in 5 1/3 innings of his start in Texas last week but he is 5-1 with a 1.83 ERA at home this season (3-2, 4.66 on the road).
