--1B Kendry Morales extended his hitting streak to 20 games with a double in the eighth inning Wednesday. It is only the sixth streak of 20 or more games by an Angel since the 2000 season.

--SS Erick Aybar had the first four-hit game of his career in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader in Kansas City. Aybar's brother, IF Willy Aybar, also had a four-hit game at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday for the Rays against the Royals.

--LHP Brian Fuentes got his 30th save of the season. He is only the second left-hander in baseball history to have a 30-save season in each league. Randy Myers had 30-save seasons for the Reds, Padres and Cubs in the National League and for the Orioles in the American League. Fuentes had three 30-save seasons for the Rockies before signing with the Angels as a free agent last winter.

MEDICAL WATCH:

LF Juan Rivera (sore right leg) sat out the July 11-12 games. He played July 16-17, then sat out again July 18-22. He is day-to-day.

CF Torii Hunter (strained adductor muscle in right groin) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 8. He is expected to miss at least three weeks.

RF Vladimir Guerrero (strained muscle behind left knee) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 8. He is unlikely to return before early August.

RHP Kelvim Escobar (right shoulder soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 6. He then had a setback in his rehab and is out indefinitely.

RHP Scot Shields (left knee tendinitis) went on the 15-day disabled list May 26. He had season-ending surgery June 16 and was moved to the 60-day DL.

RHP Dustin Moseley (nerve irritation in right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 18, and he was transferred to the 60-day disabled list June 6. He had a setback in mid-May during his rehab at extended spring training. He was cleared to start light throwing in late May but was shut down again because of pain traveling from his neck to his elbow.
