Angels report: Roster
--OF Bobby Abreu has a nine-game hitting streak during which he is 17-for-32 (.531). Abreu's 52 RBIs since June 1 are the most in the American League. He leads the Angels with 73 RBIs this season.
--1B Kendry Morales was named AL Player of the Week for a week that ended with his two-homer, six-RBI game in Minnesota on Sunday. Morales hit .423 in six games last week with three home runs and 13 RBIs.
--2B Howie Kendrick was 2-for-5 Sunday with a double. He has hits in 16 of 19 games since he was demoted to Class AAA and is batting .388 (26-for-67) with 14 runs scored and 15 RBIs in those games.
--1B Kendry Morales had a pair of three-run home runs in Sunday's victory, both while batting right-handed. The switch-hitting Morales only had one right-handed home run before Sunday (and 20 left-handed). His six RBIs Sunday were the most by an Angel since Jeff Mathis also drove in six against the Cleveland Indians on July 23, 2008.
--RHP Jered Weaver set a career-high with 11 strikeouts while going 6 1/3 innings in Sunday's victory. He bounced back after posting a 6.88 ERA in six July starts. "I really don't know about the 'dead-arm' thing. I've never really gone through it," Weaver said. "Maybe that's what it was. My arm slot felt a lot more consistent today and I was getting better extension on all my pitches."
