--RF Torii Hunter went hitless in three at-bats with a walk in Wednesday's loss. He is now hitting just .223 for the season with no home runs since April 21, one extra-base hit since May 3, a league-leading 12 double plays and a .212 batting average (11-for-52) with runners in scoring position.
--RHP Jered Weaver faced off Wednesday against a former Long Beach State teammate, Seattle LHP Jason Vargas, and took his fourth consecutive loss. Since ending April with a 6-0 record and 0.99 ERA, Weaver has gone 0-4 with a 5.25 ERA in May. The Angels have scored a total of six runs in his four losses.
--CF Peter Bourjos was hitless in three at-bats and struck out twice Wednesday. Bourjos is now hitless in his past 23 at-bats with just one hit and 13 strikeouts in his past 29 at-bats. Bourjos is batting .158 (9-for-57) in May after hitting .300 in April.
--3B Alberto Callaspo's error in the third inning Saturday at Texas ended a streak of 80 errorless innings by the Angels. Starting with that misplay, though, the Angels have made six errors in 42 innings, with one in each of their past five games.
--RHP Dan Haren is scheduled to start in Seattle on Thursday. Haren has a 2.62 ERA in his past five starts but is winless in that time despite leaving the game with a lead in each of his past three starts. The Angels have scored a total of nine runs while he was on the mound in those five games.
