Im not gonna sit here and say this week is more important that weeks in late august or september, but I believe it is one of the more important weeks of the season. If we win both series we go into the break with a full head of steam. Im fairly confident we will take atleast 2 of 3 from the Indians, and im hopin we can do the same visiting

First of all, I'm sure he has been thinking about what to do with Richard.
Although Colon has pitched 5 strong innings tonight in Charlotte, I don't think he's the answer to the White Sox #5 starter. Hes not very dependable.
Who is then? Wes Whistler ?

Anyone else think that Aaron Porreda should start over Clayton Richard in the second half. He got a good look today going 2.1 innings, 3k's, 1 hit, and ZERO EARNED RUNS. Richard has been getting beatin up, but from i have seen he hasent been that bad coming out of the bullpen. I think its worth a shot giving Porreda the start an

Perhaps it is time to let Aaron Poreda have a shot at the starting rotation. Hawk likes to say that one of the manager's biggest jobs is to "figure out what his guys can't do, and then don't ask them to do it." Well, thus far in his career,

Not even sure where to start.
I would love Halladay on this team. But another pitcher is not what we need. Just look at todays box score. 3 hits and 1 run through 6 innings. We clearly need some offensive help. We need 2 guys who have a high OBP and bat at the top of the order (#1 & #2). I like Podsednik but come on. His defense has been costly and he is getting picked off and caugh

Hawk Harrelson has mentioned no less than 10 times (between yesterday and today) that Alexei Ramirez being too far towards third, and thus not being able to turn the DP on Carlos Guillen on Saturday, cost us a game. He has yet to mention, however, that Ozz

Jared Mitchell, the White Sox top pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft, officially joined the organization on Wednesday by agreeing to terms on a Minor League contract.
Selected at No. 23 overall, Mitchell received a reported $1.2 million signing bonus and is set to report to Class A Kannapolis for his debut on Thursday in a home ga

Mark Buehrle was chosen to be the lone White Sox representative in St. Louis. It's hard to argue with the choices, but I do feel like Dye deserved at least a shot at Fan vote slot, but I'm not sure who they'd knock off from

No way is Roy going to the Southside. They don't have enough young talent to trade for him. Halladay has a much better chance going to the Cubs because they'll give Jake Fox & their young pitching prospects for him. Sorry South Siders, but this is one agai

Sox have 79 games left, and 22 of them are against the Tigers (10) and Twins (12).
With things getting so close in the division, those games are more important than ever.
See if we can win the series this weekend, put another game or two between u

What do you all think? Personally, I think that we are one of the front runners... Obviously, the Yankees and Red Sox will be involved if and when his name starts to float around, but this could be a very interresting July.. I think that we have some good young arms

Acquiring a player such as Pena might be more of what Williams seeks. New revenue issues might put a high-priced player out of reach.
Williams conceded the economic downturn is taking a larger toll on attendance and revenues than the team anticipated.
''The Dodgers series was an eye-opener for us,'' Williams said.

In today's Sun-Times, beatwriter Joe Cowley wrote about the possiblity of Brian Anderson being traded to clear up the outfield logjam once TCQ is back. He also added it would be better for Brian himself to have a scenery change, which I agree with.
I think this is the right thing to do for both parties. Brian does no
