Kelly Shoppach was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for a PTBNL. This clears a bit of space for the catchers and gets the Indians off the hook for his arbitration. Sad to see that we could only get a player to be named f

Since he didn't even get named to Manny Acta's staff he's hit the road to take the job with Boston's AAA Pawtucket. Mike Sarbaugh will more than likely get the job, but is supposedly competing with Joel Skinner. It's sad to see Lovullo leave, but good to see Sarbaugh get a chance at a higher level.
Not much else going on for the I

The Indians could have got a quality veteran to solve the utility question, and put a few more butts in the seats by bringing back a fan favorite and potential Hall-of-Fame inductee. What was it, 1.2 mil? I doubt they will get a decent UTL guy for much less, certainly not one who can generate as much fan goodwill, which they wil

6 months in advance, Manny Acta has already named his opening day starter. Wow. It's Jake Westbrook according to the Boston Globe.
Any thoughts on why Acta did it so early, or any thoughts on Westbrook at all?

Hey guys, Brewers fan here. Just thinking about the past couple seasons and was curious where Matt LaPorta stands in terms of big league playing time in 2010. Is he ready to start? Bat off the bench? Another season in AAA? This kid was ticket

Former Indians pitcher Tim Belcher is the team’s new pitching coach, the first member of manager Manny Acta’s staff.
Belcher has spent the past eight years as a special assistant to baseball operations in the Indians organization. He was responsible for evaluating players in Cleveland’s system and scouted other teams

I see we may see a Cliff Lee and ALCS MVP C.C. Sabathia showdown. Downright hilarious that title starved "mistake by the lake" wouldnt pony up and keep one of these guys. Another reason why its been 16,375 days since a professional sporst title or even an NBA Finals win in that city. LOL!

Great to see one of our favorites return to the Tribe. Sandy should be a great coach as a former catcher.
I have never been so glad about a base coach before lol
pretty bad when the biggest star on the team is the 1st base coach!

There were ex-Indians scattered all over the place in the post season. Why do the Indians let all these guys go instead of keeping them, winning, selling out the stadium and making millions? You had that formula going like a charm in the 90s. Wha' happened? Doesn't the current owner want to make money?

Ok I want Grady Sizemore on my team being logical what will it take to pry him away from the Indians. Lets say that I'm a GM and am willing to make a fair offer. I have some young talent as well as some veterans, I have outfielders, infielders, and pitching. Throw out some

The Tampa Bay Rays have signed Derek Shelton as their hitting coach. Now we'll see what he's made of...
We have a good idea that Manny Acta will get the manager job since he's being pushed by the Indians and the local media, who will fill our role as hitting coach? No, n
